If you missed the live webcast of the Emergency Forum: We Will Not Be Complicit-We Do Not Consent that was held at Cooper Union’s Great Hall in NYC in response to the prosecution of Bradley Manning, the slandering and calls for prosecution of Edward Snowden for leaking about NSA spying , and the ongoing crime of Guantanamo Bay Detention Center you can watch it here:
Join the Chicago Coalition to Shut Down Guantanamo on Fridays at 4:30 pm to keep vigil for the 166 men who remain at Guantanamo. On Friday will be at a new location-Jackson and Dearborne. Tomorrow is day 144 of the heroic and desperate hunger strike at Guantanamo. It is also 37 days since Obama promised (again) to close that torture camp. How many men have been released in more than a month since that promise was made? ZERO. This will not happen without a powerful political demand from people with a conscience in this country. Join us at Dearborn & Jackson (4:30 – 5:30) tomorrow/Friday to demand: Close Guantanamo NOW! End the Torture!
